Employment Support Programs

Provides various employment programs to help those in the Campbell River area.
Provides employment programs and opportunities to assist those in need with the development of skills that will enable them to find and hold employment in an ever-changing world. The following programs are offered:
  • Skills Bridge: The Skills Bridge Fund offers financial support with costs related to the process of foreign credential recognition. Examples of the types of support available are assessment costs, language testing fees, travel & accommodation expenses required to pursue steps in credential recognition, training costs related to upgrading required to secure credentials, interpretation and translation costs and licensing fees. Skills Bridge is open to Foreign Trained Professionals seeking employment opportunities within the North Island Labour Market and/or requiring assistance with costs related to credential recognition.
  • Foundry Work and Education: This is a strengths-based, individualized youth employment program that helps youth (ages 15 – 24 who are not working or attending school full-time) achieve their employment and educational goals while providing wraparound community supports.
  • Crafting Your Career Pathways: A groundbreaking initiative featuring innovative, expressive arts-based programming seamlessly woven into proven career development curriculum. This unique hands-on approach assists participants with identifying their employment skills & strengths, and laying out their pathway to sustainable employment.
