Provides support to individuals and their loved ones through the stages of dying, death and bereavement.
Grief support services include:
- Grief Support Group: Trained volunteer companions help facilitate the Grief Support Group and offer a safe and confidential environment.
- Grief Volunteer Support: Compassionate, trained volunteers are available to offer support throughout the journey.
- Grief Counselling: Professional counselling is available to individuals, families and children.
- Grief Art Therapy: Professional Art therapy can help adults and children through their grief.
- Grief Walking Group: Drop-in walking group is for anyone struggling with grief.
- Grief Mindfulness Workshop: Closed group for existing clients.
- Relaxation Therapies: Reiki, Healing Touch, & Reflexology is available to help the healing process.
- Zentangle: A relaxation process to help calm the mind and soul while drawing specific shapes.
- Lending Library: A large selection of books is available to anyone to borrow.
- Online Resources: Browse a wide variety of resources selected by clinical staff.
- Grief Packages: Contains resources, reading materials, and workbooks to support individuals through grief.
- Children's Grief Packages: These packages are designed for children to work for their grief with their family.
- Sudden Death Packages: Includes resources, reading materials, and workbooks designed to support families.
Community outreach services include:
- Advance care planning: Workshops are offered to help create a plan for the future.
- Family Caregivers Peer Group: A drop-in peer to peer support group for caregivers.
- Community Presentations: Community presentations are available for other organizations, local business and social service groups.
