Provides comfort, care and support to people affected by life threatening illness, their families, friends, other care-givers, and persons recently bereaved
The Salt Spring Hospice and Bessie Dane Foundation provide trained volunteer friends who give support to patients recently diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, those with a chronic or terminal illness, their families, friends and other caregivers, and persons recently bereaved.

Services are also provided in Residential Care and private homes
